I’ve compiled a list of some of the most commonly asked questions along with their answers.

How does this work?

I begin by discussing your company and products to find out exactly what type of product shots you desire. Details such as shot angle, file sizes, backgrounds, deadlines and special requests are covered.  Once I have all the specifics and details for your order, a 50% deposit of your desired package will be required along with your shipment of product.  Once I have received your deposit and product you will be receive a confirmation email.

 

How and when do I pay for your services?

I accept credit card payments via PayPal. For all projects, a deposit of 50% is required before beginning your project. Upon completion of your project, I will issue a final invoice for the remaining balance of your order plus shipping costs if a shipping account is not provided. Before releasing the final images, full payment is required.  (The remaining balance is due upon delivery of your project proofs.)

 

What happens when my products arrive at your location?

Once I receive your products I will contact you by email to let you know that your products arrived safely and confirm that we have all items that you want to have photographed. We will then discuss your project in more detail and make sure we are on the same page about the layout and background choices for the shots. I will then begin to photograph your products.

 

May I decide how the products should be arranged?

Absolutely. Although I will make recommendations, it is always helpful to have a snapshot with a basic layout of your products emailed which will benefit our discussions.  My goal is to enhance your product that will convey your vision in a professional, creative photo.

 

How long do photography projects take?

Projects are usually completed 1 -2 weeks after your products have arrived at my studio. If you have a particularly large project, it may take slightly longer.  Please contact me if specific timeframes are needed.

 

How do you deliver my photos?

When your proofs are ready to be viewed, they will be uploaded to the secure client access area on the website. You will receive an email with your unique client access code to view your proofs. You can download your photos from this gallery as well. I also offer photos mailed to you on a DVD upon request only. I will store your images for future viewing at no additional charge.

 

In what format are my photos delivered?

You will receive your photos in a high-resolution, 300 DPI jpeg formation using maximum quality settings. Photos in different formats or smaller file sizes are available – just let me know what you need.  I will provide any file format you request for no additional cost.

 

What kind of license comes with the images?

Upon final delivery, the photographs become licensed to your company for use on a royalty-free basis. You will receive a photo release for each image that allows you to use the images in web, print and advertisement. This means that you are free to use the photographs in any of your publications, as many times as you like, with any distribution you like, without ever having to pay royalties for their use. I do retain the copyrights for delivered photos and the photographs may not be re-sold to any third-party without prior written permission.

 

What happens to my product when you are done with it?

When your photographs are complete, your products along with any other materials provided will be packaged in the material it was shipped in and returned to you. Please keep in mind that certain types of products such as food, soap, bath and body products may need to be opened and manipulated to get the best shot. I will do everything we can to return these types of products to you in as near the condition we received them, as possible. If you do not want your products returned, eligible products will be donated to a charitable cause or disposed of.
